Job Posting: Part-Time Administrative Assistant
Garrett County Community Action Committee, Inc.
Location: Oakland, Maryland
Hours: 25 per week

Garrett County Community Action Committee, Inc. (GCCAC) is seeking an experienced Administrative Assistant to provide direct support to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Chief Operating Officer (COO). This position is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who thrives on organization, efficiency, and proactive problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide executive-level administrative support to the CEO and COO.
  • Manage Outlook calendars, schedule meetings, and resolve scheduling conflicts.
  • Prepare, proofread, and edit professional business communications, including letters, memos, and emails.
  • Organize and maintain files, documents, and records.
  • Assist with preparation of reports, presentations, and other materials.
  • Build and manage Microsoft Forms and basic automations to streamline administrative processes (a plus).
  • Anticipate needs and proactively address scheduling or workflow barriers.
  • Prioritize multiple tasks while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience as an administrative assistant, preferably supporting senior leadership.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams).
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in a professional business environment.
  • Dependable, discreet, and able to maintain confidentiality.
  • Problem-solving mindset with the ability to think ahead and remove barriers.
  • Experience with Microsoft Forms or other automation tools preferred.

Position Details:

  • Part-time, 25 hours per week.
  • Flexible scheduling, in-office presence required.
  • Pay commensurate with experience.
