What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pipelayer Foreman Plant position at Garney Construction?
APipeForemanjob is available at Garney. To be considered for this position you must have experience of heavy equipment operations and maintenance. Knowledge of pipe laying for water mains, storm drainage, sanitary sewers, and storm sewer.
- Drive job site safety and promote safety culture
- Oversee and coordinate the activities of field employees
- Follow project plans and schedules to ensure that crews meet production goals
- Translate general work requirements into a prioritized work plan for the crew
- Check equipment to ensure proper working conditions
- Assist in cost control
- Maintain employee time reporting
- Prepare reports as require
- Understand line and grade, shoot grade with a level, and set up a pipe laser
- Heavy Civil Construction Experience
- General knowledge of Heavy Equipment operations and maintenance
- The ideal candidate would have prior trench safety and rigging/signaling training, as well as experience with ductile, steel, PVC, and HDPE pipe
- Must be willing to work overtime as required
