What are the responsibilities and job description for the Field Engineer position at Garney Construction?
A Field Engineer position is available in Fayetteville, AR. In this position, you will act as the glue that unites the team by translating the information between the office engineers and the team that is making the project come to life out on the field. Field Engineers know what is happening out on the field and have the ability to fill the gaps and support the team to ensure success and efficiency.
You will be on the field day-to-day, ensuring that the work being done by our team and subcontractors meet engineering specifications. Other duties may include handling important documents and ensuring that the correct materials are being received and stored correctly.
Examples of daily tasks:
- Traveling to and from jobsites and training opportunities as needed.
- Surveying and lay-out job site.
- Processing and reviewing shop drawings.
- Updating as-built documents.
- Auditing completed construction.
- Complete daily and periodic report updates.
- Coordinating subcontractor work.
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or comparable work experience
- Willing and able to travel per job requirements
- 1 years' experience in water/wastewater infrastructure, civil, or mechanical engineering
- Great ability to communicate across all levels of an organization, both written and oral
- Proven ability to work collaboratively with a team, as well as individually
- Self-starter with a strong ability to seek out solutions and effectively problem solve
- Base salary starts at $75,000.
