What are the responsibilities and job description for the Concrete Superintendent position at Garney Construction?
A Superintendent position is available at Garney. As aSuperintendent,you will be making a difference every day by helping Garney build work. You will have the opportunity to demonstrate your leadership skills and construction knowledgeat Garney.
- Lead daily self-perform concrete operations on water and wastewater treatment plant projects.
- Supervise crews performing structural concrete work, including foundations, walls, slabs, tanks, and equipment pads.
- Coordinate manpower, equipment, materials, and schedules to keep projects on track.
- Ensure work is completed safely, on schedule, and to the highest quality standards.
- Collaborate with Project Managers, Engineers, inspectors, and other trades to resolve field challenges.
- Mentor and develop field crews while promoting a strong safety culture.
- Negotiate and purchase materials
- Maintain as-built documents
- Act as owner and architect/engineer contact
- Verify and provide inventory analysis
- Survey construction job site
- Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or relative career experience
- 5 years of concrete construction experience with leadership experience as a Foreman or Superintendent.
- Experience leading self-perform structural concrete crews on heavy civil or industrial projects.
- Water/wastewater treatment plant experience preferred.
- Ability to read construction drawings and manage project schedules.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Commitment to safety, quality, and teamwork, with willingness to travel as needed.
- Salary Range: $125K - $160K
