JOB SUMMARY
The Shipping and Receiving Associate is responsible for handling the inbound and outbound movement of Garnet products. This includes receiving shipments, verifying contents, preparing outgoing orders, and ensuring documentation is accurate and complete. This role plays a key part in maintaining efficient warehouse operations and supporting overall logistics.
EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS
- Prior shipping and receiving experience are an asset.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Process and prepare orders for shipment, including pulling materials, packing items, and generating required documentation (manual or electronic).
- Ensure all shipping and receiving paperwork is accurately prepared and recorded.
- Inspect incoming shipments for damage or discrepancies; verify contents against packing slips and waybills.
- Log all inbound and outbound shipments promptly and accurately.
- Route received goods to appropriate storage locations.
- Report and document all discrepancies, damages, and shortages.
- Coordinate with transportation and shipping companies to secure timely delivery and competitive rates.
- Operate a forklift to load and unload goods safely.
- Follow C-TPAT security procedures and warehouse protocols.
- Assist with warehouse layout planning and space optimization.
- Maintain inventory of shipping materials and supplies.
- Print manuals to accompany product shipments as needed.
- Maintain a clean and safe warehouse environment.
COMPETENCIES & KNOWLEDGE
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
POSITION CONDITIONS
- Ability to lift 50lbs
- Work is performed in a clean, climate-controlled indoor environment.
- Occasional exposure to elevated noise levels.
- Prolonged periods of standing and walking may be required.
