About the role:
We are looking for an Associate Software Engineer to join our team and help us develop the core systems powering client onboarding and reporting part of our business. You will work closely with a talented product and design team, stay up-to-date with the latest technologies, and contribute to a fast-paced, innovative environment. The ideal candidate for this role should be able to deliver across the tech stack and is eager to learn and apply new techniques and technologies.
Where you will work:
This role will be based in our New York City office. You must be willing to work in the office 3 days per week on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
What you will do:
- Design, build and launch new features and improve the overall quality of the Garner app
- Collaborate across disciplines to understand our users and iterate on new ideas
- Protect our users’ privacy and security through secure coding practices
- Support the Garner app in production
What you will bring to the team:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science or STEM field
- Less than 1-year of full time software engineering work experience
- Proficiency in software engineering fundamentals
- A track record of shipping high-quality features through internships or personal projects
- Excitement to thrive in a fast-paced environment, continuously learn, and sharpen your skills
- Experience with Python, JavaScript, or TypeScript is highly desirable
- Experience with Flask, React, or NodeJS is highly desirable
- Experience with a major cloud provider such as AWS
- Experience with one or more database systems such PostgreSQL or ElasticSearch
- Strong technical writing, analytical, and communication skills

Compensation Transparency:
The target salary range for this position is $100,000 - $120,000. Individual compensation for this role will depend on various factors, including qualifications, skills, and applicable laws. In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible to participate in our equity incentive and competitive benefits plans, including but not limited to: flexible PTO, Medical/Dental/Vision plan options, 401(k) with company match, flexible spending accounts, Teladoc Health and more.
