Position Summary
Garner Hotel Spokane is seeking a friendly, dependable, and customer-focused Front Desk Associate to create a welcoming experience for every guest. The Front Desk Associate serves as the first point of contact, providing exceptional service while efficiently handling guest check-ins, check-outs, reservations, and inquiries. The ideal candidate is professional, organized, and enjoys working in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome guests with a warm and professional attitude.
- Process guest check-ins and check-outs accurately and efficiently.
- Answer phone calls, emails, and guest inquiries in a timely manner.
- Make, modify, and cancel reservations using the hotel's property management system.
- Handle guest requests, concerns, and complaints professionally, escalating issues when necessary.
- Process payments and maintain accurate cash and credit card transactions.
- Provide information about hotel amenities, local attractions, restaurants, and transportation.
- Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance to ensure guest rooms are ready and issues are resolved promptly.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional front desk and lobby area.
- Follow hotel policies, safety procedures, and brand standards.
- Assist with administrative tasks and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous customer service or hotel front desk experience is preferred but not required.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong computer skills and ability to learn hotel management software.
- Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.
