Role Description This is a full-time or part-time, on-site Human Resources Manager role based in Angleton, TX. The Human Resources Manager will oversee the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and offboarding for both field and office team members. This role will manage HR policies, benefits administration, and compliance with federal, state, and local employment regulations, including safety and labor standards relevant to construction. The Human Resources Manager will partner with leadership to support workforce planning, employee relations, training initiatives (including apprenticeship programs), and culture-building efforts that promote inclusion and employee engagement. Day-to-day responsibilities include maintaining HR records and systems, handling employee inquiries, guiding supervisors on HR best practices, and supporting continuous improvement in HR processes.
Qualifications
- Experience managing core HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and employee relations.
- Knowledge of employment laws, compliance requirements, and HR policies, preferably within construction or related industries.
- Strong communication, conflict resolution, and coaching skills to support supervisors and team members at all levels.
- Ability to develop and support training, safety, and apprenticeship programs, including skills development and career pathways.
- Proficiency with HRIS and standard office software for maintaining accurate records, reporting, and documentation.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Professional HR certification (such as SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR) is preferred but not required.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, project-driven environment with field-based and on-site teams.
- Demonstrated commitment to creating a safe, inclusive, and respectful workplace for a diverse workforce.
