POSITION SUMMARY:

At Ma Bahuchar Hospitality’s Garner by IHG Hotel, we want to make our guests’ experience truly memorable! From the moment they enter the building, the friendly faces at the front desk provide complete guest satisfaction!

We are currently looking for a Night Auditor who can embrace the night while balancing daily financial information and performing other essential end-of-day functions. We love closing the day perfectly so we can be well prepared for whatever comes next!

As the Night Auditor, your responsibility is to analyze and reconcile daily transactions and generate reports for management review. You’ll also be responsible for taking care of our guests overnight and providing exceptional and unforgettable customer service!

KEY JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Greet and register guests, issue room keys, provide room upgrades and upsells, and provide welcome amenities to eligible guests.
• Process payments in accordance with established procedures.
• Acknowledge loyalty status and enroll guests in the loyalty program.
• Answer phones and handle overnight guest queries or problems.
• Check availability, create, confirm, and cancel reservations.
• Accurately check in/out guests.
• Accurately post and collect payment for room charges, pet fees, and market purchases.
• Perform night audit on the property management systems and other applications.
• Print or email reports and submit for manager review.
• Obtain sales lead information and pass along information for follow-up. Each person on our team is an important part of our sales strategy and empowered to make sales.
• Ensure safety and security by following key security and guest privacy rules.
• Maintain and log details in the shift log and other platforms to ensure communication between shifts and maintain the guest record.
• Wash, dry, and fold laundry and ensure it is complete. We do not allow laundry to roll over to the next business day.
• Act as the primary point of contact during crisis and make decisions pertaining to safety and security of others.
• Other duties as assigned by your manager, including cleaning public areas, performing property security walks, helping with breakfast, and covering shifts as needed.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• High School Diploma or GED is required, some college preferred.
• 1 year of relevant work experience in a similar field preferred.
• Cash handling experience.
• Computer literacy and familiarity with PMS software.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Flexibility – while we try to maintain a regular schedule, days, nights, weekends, and holiday shifts are all part of the job.
• Accounting and mathematics skills for accurate auditing and payment processing.
• Ability to stand for most of the shift. Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, reach, and crawl on occasion. Must be able to carry or lift items up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to speak, read, and write in English; bilingual or multilingual to include Spanish preferred.
• Ability to use and navigate various applications on an iPad and computer and perform basic math and cash counting.
• Ability to work well in stressful, high-pressure environments with little to no supervision.
• Ability to anticipate, prevent, and solve problems proactively.
• Ability to obtain a Food Handler’s Permit.

Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour
