We are seeking a full-time Senior Project Manager Retail Marketing in our Olathe, KS location. In this role, you will be responsible for project managing all aspects of global point-of-sale (POS) and/or in-store marketing development.
Essential Functions
- Ability to lead a project team, plan, forecast and successfully project manage full product life cycle retail marketing projects of any scale or complexity
- Successfully mentors and trains others on Garmin’s retail marketing processes, procedures, brand style guide, SharePoint, Jira, Tableau, and Oracle related software
- Develops and maintains a 3PL Retail Marketing program supplier guide
- Works with the Retail Marketing team to ensure their retail program and logistics information is accurate, continually updated, and easily accessible by necessary parties
- Attends onsite marketing discussions, captures meeting notes, and distributes to necessary parties upon leadership request
- Monitors detailed project development schedules, creates regular reports, and advises leadership on internal and external resource capacity and project prioritization
- Recommends any project course of actions needed to ensure successful in store implementations
- Develops tools to improve processes, project documentation, communications, resource allocation, prototype and inventory tracking, 3PL supplier guide, POS inventory status, material disposition or other assets as needed
- Bachelor's Degree AND a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience OR an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
- Must be detail-oriented and work proactively and effectively with minimal supervision to meet deadlines
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize and multi-task in a flexible, fast paced, and challenging environment
- Demonstrated strong and effective verbal, written, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills
- Demonstrated project management, organizational and analytical skills with attention to detail and quality assurance
- Must be team-oriented, possess a positive attitude, and work well with others
- Creates and maintains cohesive relationships with customers, suppliers, and Garmin associates
- Driven problem solver with proven success in solving difficult problems
- Must demonstrate a proven track record in providing excellent customer service
- Demonstrated ability to deal with confidential company matters
- Demonstrated ability to complete complex tasks
- Demonstrated ability to understand retail merchant terminology
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, SharePoint, Jira, Tableau, and Oracle or related software
- Must possess the ability to bend, twist and lift up to 55 pounds while using safe lifting techniques
- Extensive project management, capacity planning and forecasting knowledge
