Slitter Operator - Located in Norcross, GAJob Summary: To operate a slitter safely, efficiently, productively and produce a quality product in accordance with company and customer specifications.Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities: Operate slitter efficiently and productively against set goalsLoading and unloading of rolls on slitter.Interpret and understand written information, (orders, SOP’s, Lam. and print roll tickets etc.)Palletization, (building pallets of finished goods per customer specifications)Bagging of finished rollsQuality checks slit materialLay flat/measurement of slit webPrint quality/print defectsRoll/web tension and integrityEnter accurate information into computer and on production forms.Print out and attach accurate labels to finished rollsKeep machine and surrounding area safe and cleanSpot and determine visual defects.Cut out defects and splice together good materialComplete tasks in adequate time limits, as to meet daily goal and schedule needs.Complies with all general Company-wide standard operating procedures (SOP’s) and any job or department specific SOP’s.SOP’s may cover the areas of (but are not limited to)Employee Health and SafetySQF (Safe Quality Food packager) and GMP (good manufacturing procedures) focused on eliminating contaminates in all packaging manufactured.
