Essential Functions
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions to assemble metal gasket products.
- Assemble metal gasket components using hand tools, fixtures, presses, or other production equipment.
- Align, fit, and secure parts to specifications ensuring proper sealing and structural integrity.
- Inspect finished products for quality, accuracy, and compliance with specifications.
- Measure components using gauges, calipers, or other precision tools.
- Perform quality checks throughout the assembly process and report defects or inconsistencies.
- Prepare work by gathering materials, parts, tools, and documentation required for production.
- Maintain equipment by performing basic preventive maintenance and reporting malfunctions.
- Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Complete production records, inspection reports, and other required documentation.
- Support inventory control by tracking materials and reporting shortages.
- Assist in troubleshooting assembly issues and recommending process improvements.
- Ability to interpret and comprehend blueprints and drawings.
- Basic math skills and mechanical aptitude.
- Previous manufacturing or assembly experience preferred (metal or industrial products a plus).
- Ability to walk, stand, or sit for extended periods of time.
- Ability to lift material up to 35 pounds as needed.
- Frequent use of hands for handling tools and small components.
