What are the responsibilities and job description for the Produce Order Selector position at Gargiulo Produce?
Gargiulo Produce is 4th generation family run produce distribution company based in Hillside, NJ. As an industry leader in wholesale produce distribution, Gargiulo Produce continues to grow and evolve at a rapid pace across all departments. We are seeking a Cross Dock Order Selector for our newly established cross dock facility in Easton MA. This individual would work directly with the onsite operations manager. The desired employee will be responsible for the efficient selection and loading of up to 100 produce orders. He or she will be expected to accurately scan product through all stages of receiving, selections and shipping for each order.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Build, break down and seperate pallets of mixed produce ensuring that the integrity of all product is maintained
Select proper product from designated slots to assemble and verify order accuracy.
Shrink wrap finished pallets for final loading
Accurtately load a fleet of daily trucks
Complete pick documentation
Operate equipment in a safe and efficient manner at all times.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 3 years of produce handling experience in a refrigerated warehouse setting
Able to read and write legibly; able to follow orders; able to work with little direct supervision.
Must be able to operate rider pallet jacks and RF Scanners
Ability to work on your feet for most of the day
Must be available to work 5 days per week
