Rail Construction Management
Position: Rail Construction Management Senior Inspector
Location: Philadelphia Area
Employment Type: Full-time
Salary Range: $125,000 – $200,000
Responsibilities
- Oversee construction inspection of rail systems, including track, signals, traction power, and related infrastructure
- Ensure contractor compliance with design plans, specifications, and safety regulations
- Lead and mentor inspection staff to maintain consistent reporting and documentation standards
- Coordinate with project engineers, construction managers, and client representatives to resolve field issues
- Prepare and submit daily inspection reports, photo documentation, and field observations
- Monitor schedule adherence and quality control throughout construction activities
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Civil, or related discipline)
- Minimum 10 years of relevant rail/transit construction inspection or field engineering experience
- EIT, CCM, or PE license/certification preferred
- Strong knowledge of rail infrastructure components, construction methods, and applicable safety standards
- Ability to interpret contract drawings and specifications
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel locally as needed
