This role involves leadership, mentorship, and coordination with engineers, construction managers, and clients to maintain quality control and project schedules.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise construction inspection of rail systems, including track, signals, traction power, and related infrastructure.
- Ensure contractor compliance with design plans, specifications, and safety regulations.
- Lead and mentor inspection staff to maintain consistent reporting and documentation standards.
- Coordinate with project engineers, construction managers, and client representatives to resolve field issues.
- Prepare and submit daily inspection reports, photo documentation, and field observations.
- Monitor schedule adherence and quality control throughout construction activities.
- Participate in project meetings and provide technical guidance on construction inspection.
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Civil, or related discipline)
- Minimum 10 years of experience in rail/transit construction inspection or field engineering
- EIT, CCM, or Professional Engineer (PE) license required
- Strong knowledge of rail infrastructure components, construction methods, and safety standards
- Ability to interpret contract drawings and specifications
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Valid driver's license with ability to travel locally as needed
- Experience with regional rail or transit projects
- Familiarity with rail construction management and inspection protocols
- Leadership and mentoring of inspection staff
- Proficiency in project documentation software and mobile reporting tools
- Strong problem-solving and field coordination skills
