Come join our Special Education Team! The Special Education team is seeking a full-time, Social Worker for the upcoming 2025-2026 academic school year. Garfield School District Re-2 proudly supports a four day student week!
Position Summary:
School Social Workers (SSW) provides both direct services and interventions to students as well as consultation and collaboration with school personnel including but not limited to teachers, paraprofessionals, administrators, school psychologists, district office staff. School social workers conduct assessments for special education evaluation process, delivering group and/or individual counseling, providing interventions for students with mental health and/or social difficulties, learning about and participating in crisis interventions, and assists families in accessing resources (CDE, 2018).
