Garfield Elementary School is seeking a passionate and dedicated Long Term Substitute 4th Grade Teacher to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will create a nurturing and stimulating learning environment for young students, encouraging academic, social, and emotional growth and will be responsible for delivering a comprehensive curriculum that aligns with state and national standards while fostering creativity and critical thinking.
Long term Sub Dates: approximately February 13, 2026- May 29, 2026.
Key responsibilities:
- Develop and implement lesson plans that meet educational standards and cater to the diverse needs of first-grade students.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment where students feel safe, valued, and motivated to learn.
- Use various teaching methods to engage students and promote active learning, including hands-on activities, group projects, and interactive technology.
- Assess student performance through formal and informal evaluations, and provide constructive feedback to support academic progress.
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to report on student progress and collaborate on any necessary interventions.
- Collaborate with fellow teachers, staff, and administration to enhance the overall educational experience at the school.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and any relevant documentation.
- Participate in school activities, staff meetings, and professional development opportunities.
Compensation: $263.55 per day
