The Role : As a Substitute Library Specialist, your primary responsibilities will include providing exceptional customer service, assisting with library operations, and ensuring a positive experience for all visitors.
This role offers flexibility, allowing you to maintain a healthy work-life balance while contributing to the community.
Key Responsibilities :
- Delivering outstanding customer service to library patrons
- Assisting with various library tasks, including shelving books and organizing materials
- Providing support during temporary staffing shortages
- Maintaining a clean and welcoming library environment
- Performing basic computer tasks with proficiency
- Collaborating with team members to achieve library goals
Requirements :
- High school diploma or GED
- Basic computer literacy
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills
- Availability to work flexible hours.
- Must be able to work evenings and weekends.
- Must be available for last-minute call-ins.
- Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred
- Prior experience in customer service, office administration, or library services is a plus
