General Purpose Of Job
Responsible for performing accounting and auditing tasks related to the preparation and maintenance of financial records, the tracking and internal audit of financial transactions, the production of reports and statements, and payroll processing.

Accounting And Payroll
- Review and approve payables. Reconcile accounts. Prepare and process journal entries.
- Approve vendor setup and changes for accounts payable.
- Prepare accounting schedules. Prepare batch deposits. Process refund checks.
- Revenue receipting reconciliation and daily review.
- End-of-year audit paperwork.
- Code and enter data into a database, spreadsheets, or other accounting software applications.
- Compile, balance, reconcile, and audit financial information; tracks revenues, expenditures, and/or investments.
- Prepare cost, budget, and/or management analysis.
- Review quarterly tax filings for accuracy.
- Accurately enters and monitors data to ensuring compliance with local, State and Federal regulations.
- Assist with budget preparation and maintenance.
- May administer and monitor contracts and/or grants to ensure compliance with applicable policies, procedures, and guidelines, and monitors related expenditures.
- Prepare, submit, review, and analyze accounting and payroll reports, reconciliations, and statements.
- Compiles statistical data for the CAFR.
- Responds to vendor questions regarding accounting, payroll, and auditing.
- Assists County employees with accounting and payroll issues.
- Represent the department at meetings, public events, training sessions, participation on committees, and/or other related events.
