Build the Next Generation of Mission-Critical Control Systems
Electronic Concepts & Engineering (ECE) is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead the development of advanced embedded control systems used in military, aerospace, automotive, and industrial applications. Since 1991, ECE has designed and manufactured high-reliability electronic systems for Fortune 500 companies and specialized OEMs, earning a reputation for solving complex engineering challenges in rugged, mission-critical environments.
This is an opportunity to own meaningful engineering work from concept through production. You'll develop control algorithms, design hardware, write embedded software, validate complete systems, and see your designs deployed in real-world applications where performance and reliability truly matter.
If you're the type of engineer who enjoys solving difficult technical problems, working across hardware and software, and having a direct impact on the products you build, we'd love to talk with you.
Why Join ECE?
- Design products that support military, aerospace, automotive, and industrial customers
- Own projects from concept, modeling, and architecture through testing, validation, and production
- Work on challenging multidisciplinary engineering problems involving embedded systems, power electronics, motion control, and real-time software
- Join a growing engineering organization where technical contributions are highly visible and your work directly influences product direction
- Work alongside an experienced engineering team focused on innovation, quality, and long-term customer partnerships
- See your ideas become real products rather than working on a small piece of a much larger organization
What You'll Do
As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you'll be responsible for leading the design and development of embedded control systems used in demanding environments.
- Lead software and controls development efforts from concept through implementation
- Develop control law models using MATLAB/Simulink
- Design and implement embedded software for real-time systems
- Design analog circuitry, power electronics, and motor drive hardware
- Develop Brushless DC (BLDC) motor control solutions
- Design automated test equipment and validation systems
- Perform hardware integration, verification, validation, and qualification testing
- Generate technical documentation, requirements, traceability, and compliance documentation
- Present technical solutions and test results to both internal teams and customers
- Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams to bring new products to market
What We're Looking For
We're looking for an engineer who enjoys building complete systems and solving technically challenging problems.
Ideal Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline
- 10 years of experience developing embedded control systems
- Strong background in MATLAB/Simulink and control system modeling
- Experience developing embedded software using C/C
- Experience with real-time embedded systems and microcontrollers
- Analog circuit and power supply design experience
- Experience designing motor control systems, preferably Brushless DC motors
- Strong systems integration and troubleshooting skills
Also Valuable
- FPGA development
- RTCA DO-178, DO-254, or DO-330
- National Instruments or automated testing platforms
- ARINC 429, CAN, Ethernet, or other aerospace communication protocols
- Python, Visual Studio, or Windows application development
- Avionics or aerospace electronics development
What Makes Someone Successful
- Passionate about engineering and continuous learning
- Comfortable taking ownership of complex technical problems
- Hands-on and equally comfortable in the lab and behind a computer
- Collaborative while capable of working independently
- A strong communicator who enjoys mentoring others and working across disciplines
- Motivated by building products that make a real impact
