What are the responsibilities and job description for the Portfolio Financial Accountant--Condominium/HOA Team position at Gardner Management Company Inc?
In the Condominium Financial Accountant role, you will:
- Manage the Association Dues and Assessments Receivables including the remote deposit and ACH collection of dues/assessments.
- Work closely with the AP Accountant to ensure proper coding of operating and reserve expenses and timely payment of AP invoices.
- Reconcile all bank accounts and balance sheet accounts monthly.
- Prepare the monthly financial statement package including variance analysis reporting for each property in the portfolio.
- Work with the association board members to produce an annual budget for each property in the portfolio.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/abilities:
- Strong proficiency in Windows operating system as well as Microsoft Office Suite and accounting software.
- Ability to establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with employee team members and portfolio board members.
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a broader team.
- Ability to maintain a well-organized electronic data and paper document system.
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business
- One - two years relevant work experience
