Water Treatment Technician

 Essential Functions: other duties may be assigned-

• Conduct daily job site inspections, performing water analysis in the field for commercial and industrial boilers, cooling towers, and related HVAC equipment.
• Analyze water conditions and determine appropriate chemical treatment based on test results.
• Administer chemical water treatment safely and accurately as needed.
• Calculate proper chemical dosages and make adjustments based on system conditions and analysis.
• Maintain clear and accurate written reports of water testing, treatment, and service performed.
• Apply basic HVAC and mechanical knowledge to assist with the maintenance and operation of heating and cooling equipment as needed.
• Service existing commercial and industrial water treatment accounts while building strong relationships with customers.
• Identify additional service or water treatment opportunities with existing and prospective customers.
• Organize and schedule daily inspections for assigned accounts on a monthly basis.
• Follow established safety procedures when handling, transporting, and applying treatment chemicals.

Experience/Education:

• 2 years of college coursework in chemistry, biology, or a related field, or equivalent relevant work experience.
• At least 1 year of experience working in a physically demanding environment, such as construction, skilled trades, maintenance, field service, warehouse, or similar work.
• Previous experience in water treatment, commercial HVAC, mechanical systems, or a related technical field is a plus.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Mathematical ability to calculate chemical dosages and interpret water analysis results.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.

Physical Requirements:  

• Access rooftops and HVAC equipment using ladders.
• Load and unload tools, equipment, and chemical containers from a company vehicle.
• Transport 5-gallon pails and occasionally larger drums using provided hand truck/dolly.
• Lift and carry up to 75 pounds occasionally, including lifting up to 25 pounds overhead.
• Climb ladders, work at heights, and reach overhead as part of regular job duties.
