Responsibilities

• Provide knowledgeable, friendly assistance to customers, ensuring a positive shopping experience by offering product recommendations and answering questions about cannabis products and accessories
• Manage daily store operations during your shift, including opening, closing, and overseeing staff activities to ensure smooth workflow
• Supervise team members, including training new employees, delegating tasks, and motivating staff to meet sales goals and maintain high standards of customer service
• Oversee inventory control by conducting stock checks, managing purchasing orders, and ensuring accurate POS (Point of Sale) transactions
• Handle cash handling duties with accuracy, including balancing registers and processing payments efficiently
• Maintain compliance with all state regulations related to cannabis sales, record keeping, and safety protocols
• Support marketing efforts through merchandising displays, promotional activities, and store cleanliness to enhance the customer experience

Qualifications

• Proven experience in retail sales or management roles with supervisory responsibilities; assistant manager experience is a plus
• Strong communication skills with the ability to connect with diverse customers and team members; multilingual or bilingual abilities are advantageous
• Demonstrated knowledge of inventory management, POS systems, cash handling, and retail math principles
• Leadership skills with a track record of supervising teams effectively and fostering a positive work environment
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
• Familiarity with cannabis industry regulations or willingness to learn compliance standards is preferred
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
