RN Weekend Supervisor

Job Overview

As an RN Weekend Supervisor, you’ll lead weekend nursing operations and help ensure residents receive safe, responsive, person-centered care. You’ll guide nursing staff, coordinate clinical priorities, and support compliance with nursing policies, HIPAA, and applicable state healthcare and long-term care regulations. Your impact: By supporting consistent assessments and timely care coordination, you help residents and families feel informed and supported while enabling staff to deliver dependable care.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support nursing staff; coordinate assignments, coverage, and shift handoffs.
• Oversee patient care, assessments, vital signs, medication administration, and changes in condition; escalate concerns appropriately.
• Coordinate admissions, intake, discharge planning, and communication with residents, families, providers, and the care team.
• Review medical documentation and records for accuracy, privacy, and compliance; support infection control and nursing policy compliance.
• Respond to urgent clinical needs and help maintain safe, organized weekend operations.

Qualifications

• Active registered nurse (RN) license required; supervisory, charge nurse, or nurse management experience preferred.
• Nursing home, long-term care, senior care, or assisted living experience preferred; dementia, Alzheimer’s, or memory care experience is valuable.
• Demonstrated team management, nursing leadership, patient assessment, medication administration, and managerial communication skills.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) or electronic medical record (EMR) systems; Epic or Cerner experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of HIPAA, state healthcare regulations, long-term care regulations, medical documentation, and infection control.

Pay: $42.00 - $45.00 per hour

Expected hours: 24.0 – 40.0 per week
