Job description
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently to various locations. This role requires a strong understanding of route driving, as well as the ability to operate different types of trucks . The Truck Driver will ensure compliance with all safety regulations and maintain the integrity of freight during transit.
Duties
- Operate commercial vehicles including tractor-trailers, box trucks and containers.
- Execute route driving efficiently while adhering to scheduled delivery times.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety and compliance.
- Manage loading and unloading of freight, ensuring proper handling of materials.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel usage, and any incidents.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding routes and schedules.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving.
- Handle manual transmission vehicles when required.
Requirements
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL A) Required
- Proven experience in commercial driving with a strong understanding of route driving principles.
- Knowledge of freight handling procedures and safety regulations.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot minor vehicle issues.
- Excellent time management skills with a focus on punctuality.
- Must pass a background check and drug screening prior to employment.
- Ability to work in all weather conditions.
