Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Prep Cook/Garde Manger to join our culinary team! In this vital role, you will be responsible for prepping from scratch sauces, dressings and preparing and presenting cold dishes, salads, charcuterie, and garnishes with precision and flair. Your experience in food handling, knife skills, and team work are welcome but motivated fast learners with a great attitude and strong work ethic will be considered. Duties
- Prepare cold appetizers, salads, charcuterie boards, and garnishes according to established recipes and presentation standards
- Ensure all food handling practices adhere to food safety regulations and hygiene standards
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the garde manger station and storage areas
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate meal preparation and ensure timely service
- Handle food with care during preparation, ensuring proper portioning and presentation
- Support catering events by preparing cold platters and specialty items as needed
- Utilize knife skills effectively for slicing, dicing, and portioning ingredients with precision
- Strong knowledge of food safety protocols and proper food handling techniques a plus
