Member Services Representative

Full-time, year-round openings for Dover, Newark, and Brick, and a summer opening for Dover. 

The Member Services Representative plays a crucial role in fostering positive relationships between the organization and its members by providing exceptional customer service and support. This position is responsible for addressing member inquiries, resolving issues efficiently, and ensuring a seamless experience throughout all interactions. The representative will serve as the primary point of contact, guiding members through various processes and offering information about products, services, and policies. Success in this role directly contributes to member satisfaction, retention, and the overall reputation of the organization. The ideal candidate will be proactive, empathetic, and skilled at managing multiple tasks to meet member needs effectively. 

Primary Functions:

• Accurately process financial transactions including deposits, withdrawals, transfers, and loan payments.
• Provide a warm welcome and offer financial support to educate our members.
• Post transactions to members’ accounts.
• Open, perform maintenance, and close accounts.
• Assist with audits and other tasks assigned.

Skills and Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Preferred previous banking experience (credit union or bank).
• Ability to assist members with resolutions promptly and accurately.
• Excellent attention to detail and time management
• Proficient computer/technical skills.
• Strong customer relationship building skills.
• High Integrity and a strong work ethic is required.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

• Lobby/Professional office environment with moderate sound.
• Flexibility to work: Monday – Friday 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., rotating Thursdays until 6:30 p.m., and Saturdays 9 a.m. - noon.
• Ability to lift to 50 pounds.
• Ability to travel to other branches, off-site training, or meetings as needed.
• English and Spanish are highly preferred. 
• Assist members in person and by telephone.
• Ability to accurately count cash and handle members' transactions.
