Member Service Representative
Join our dynamic team at Garden Savings Federal Credit Union’s branch in Brick! We are seeking a Full-Time Member Service Representative to play a crucial role in assisting our members and helping them achieve their financial goals. With a legacy dating back to 1968, we take pride in our proven track record of strong work ethic and delivering unparalleled service to our members.
Primary Functions:
- Accurately process financial transactions including deposits, withdrawals, transfers, and loan payments.
- Provide a warm welcome and offer financial support to educate our members.
- Post transactions to members’ accounts.
- Open, perform maintenance, and close accounts.
- Assist with audits and other tasks assigned.
Skills and Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Preferred previous banking experience (credit union or bank).
- Ability to assist members with resolutions promptly and accurately.
- Excellent attention to detail and time management
- Proficient computer/technical skills.
- Strong customer relationship building skills.
- High Integrity and a strong work ethic is required.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
- Lobby/Professional office environment with moderate sound.
- Flexibility to work: Monday – Friday 8:45 a.m. to 4:45 p.m., alternating Thursdays until 6:15 p.m. and Saturdays 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
- Ability to lift to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to travel to branches, including Parsippany, NJ for off-site training, and/or meetings as needed.
- Assist members in person and by telephone.
- Ability to accurately count cash and handle members' transactions.
