Part-time Floating Member Service Representative
Join our dynamic team at Garden Savings Federal Credit Union. We are seeking a Part-Time Floating Member Service Representative to play a crucial role in assisting our members and helping them achieve their financial goals. We are looking for someone who is flexible for 25 - 28 hours a week and has the ability to travel to 4 different branches and assist with staff vacations in Morris and Essex County. With a legacy dating back to 1968, we take pride in our proven track record of strong work ethic and delivering unparalleled service to our members.
Primary Functions:
- Accurately process financial transactions including deposits, withdrawals, transfers, and loan payments.
- Provide a warm welcome and offer financial support to educate our members.
- Post transactions to members’ accounts.
- Open, perform maintenance, and close accounts.
- Assist with audits and other tasks assigned.
Skills and Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Preferred previous banking experience (credit union or bank).
- Spanish Bilingual is strongly preferred.
- Ability to assist members with resolutions promptly and accurately.
- Excellent attention to detail and time management
- Proficient computer/technical skills.
- Strong customer relationship building skills.
- High Integrity and a strong work ethic is required.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
- Lobby/Professional office environment with moderate sound.
- Flexibility to work 25 to 28 hours a week within the branch hours: Monday - Wednesday 9 am to 5 pm, Thursday and Friday until 6:30 p.m., and every Saturday 9 am to 12 pm.
- Ability to lift to 50 pounds of coin.
- Flexibility to travel to 4 branches, off-site training, or meetings as needed.
- Assist members in person and by telephone.
- Ability to accurately count cash and handle members' transactions.
