About the Role:
Garden of Wonders LLC is looking for a passionate and nurturing Jr. Pre-K Teacher to join our growing team in Union, NJ! This is a wonderful opportunity to make a lasting impact on young learners during their most formative years in a warm and supportive environment.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities for Pre-K students
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment
- Support early childhood development through play-based and structured learning
- Monitor and document student progress and developmental milestones
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student growth
- Assist lead teacher with daily classroom routines, transitions, and activities
- Maintain a clean, organized, and engaging classroom space
Requirements:
- CDA, Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred
- Prior experience working with Pre-K or early childhood age groups
- Knowledge of early childhood development principles and best practices
- Strong communication, patience, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to obtain or current holder of required NJ childcare certifications
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Warm, energetic, and child-centered approach to teaching
