Facilities Preventative Maintenance Technician

Position Purpose & Summary

Seeking a passionate maintenance professional who wants to do the job right the first time. Facilities Preventive Maintenance Technician (Engineer II – experienced level) is a Full-Time Regular position.

Essential Functions:

• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance in:
• Guestrooms
• Meeting rooms,
• Public spaces
• Tasks Include:
• flip/inspect mattresses, box springs and assemble bed frames,
• vacuum behind and underneath furniture,
• spot clean carpets and upholstery,
• dusting,
• touch-up painting,
• touch-up furniture and woodwork
• ensure that all necessary hardware and appliances are present in the room and in working order,
• replace light fixtures,
• and inspect and repair grout and caulking.
• Maintain, repair, and clean all guest rooms and public spaces in accordance with the Resort's preventative maintenance procedures and standard guidelines.
• Perform miscellaneous minor repairs such as tightening loose toilet seats, securing bathroom accessories, changing light bulbs, patching holes in walls, etc.
• Perform general cleaning of all surfaces to include tub, wall tile, hard floors, walls, windows, mirrors, countertops, cabinetry, furniture, etc.
• Report any serious maintenance problems, unusual findings, or safety hazards immediately to manager/supervisor.

Marginal Functions:

• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Displays care in use of equipment and maintains an organized and professional work environment.

• Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others, and support team to reach common goals.
• Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
• Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds without assistance.
• Assist with moving, lifting, carrying, and placing of objects weighing in excess of 50 pounds.
• Perform other reasonable job duties as requested or assigned.

Position Requirements:

1. Minimum Knowledge & Skills:

1 year of experience in any field- REQUIRED. Ability to operate computer and related equipment (pads, tablets, PCs, etc.) – REQUIRED. A successful candidate will have a flexible schedule, ability to work morning, afternoon, or evening shifts, weekends, and holidays. Must be fluent in English.

1. Formal Education and Job-Related Experience:

This position requires a minimum formal education of a high school diploma and a minimum of one-year job-related experience.

1. License, Registration, and/or Certification Required:

Valid driver's license required to drive company licensed vehicles.

ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS: Works in all areas of the property, both inside and outside, possibly in inclement weather. Must be able to work at various heights on ladders, roofs, etc. Some work may be in confined spaces.
