Job Summary
We are seeking a bilingual (English and Spanish), proactive, and detail-oriented Human Resources Assistant to join our dynamic team. Duties
- Maintains accurate, confidential, and up-to-date human resource files, records, and documentation.
- Answers frequently asked questions from applicants and employees related to standard policies, benefits, hiring processes, etc.; refers more complex questions to appropriate HR leadership or management.
- Assists with talent acquisition efforts by supporting recruiting campaigns, screening resumes, and scheduling interviews.
- Coordinates employee onboarding and orientation programs to ensure new hires are welcomed and integrated seamlessly into the organization.
- Supports employee evaluation processes by gathering performance data, preparing documentation, and assisting with performance management initiatives.
- Fields inquiries related to health insurance, retirement plans, and other employee benefits.
- Assists with employee related activities, such as worker’s compensation, disability leave, FMLA, and NJ Family Leave Insurance as directed by HR leadership.
- Supports HR projects related to workforce management, organizational design, succession planning, and training & development programs.
- Handles employee relations issues professionally by facilitating communication between staff and management while managing conflict resolution efforts and conducting HR investigations as necessary.
- Assists with planning and execution of special events, such as benefits enrollment, organization-wide meetings, employee recognition events, holiday parties, and other celebrations.
Education and Experience
- Bilingual, English and Spanish, necessary.
- Associate’s degree in related field preferred.
- Previous experience in an HR department or administrative role supporting human resources functions is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated knowledge of employment & labor law, HR legal compliance requirements, and regulatory standards like OSHA is preferred.
- Strong skills in Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to handle confidential information discreetly while maintaining high levels of professionalism and communication skills.
- Experience with recruiting tools such as Lever and social media management for talent sourcing is advantageous.
- Ability to coordinate multiple tasks efficiently through project management practices and organizational design principles will support your success in this role.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
