Spa Attendant Assistant / Weekend Patrol

Spa Attendant Job Description: Spa attendants help to facilitate the day-to-day operations of the spa and green house bistro. They conduct customer service related tasks, regular cleaning and maintenance and take charge of inventory, tracking supplies and stocking treatment rooms with fresh materials.

Pay rate is $13.50/hr plus tips
Schedule: Friday – Monday, approximately 32 hrs/week 11am to 7pm

Spa Attendant Assistant / Weekend Patrol Duties and Responsibilities:

· Maintain Spa & Salon Cleanliness: To ensure a pleasant experience for customers, spa attendants frequently inspect and clean facility areas, especially the lobby, treatment rooms, studio and salon. In addition, the cleaning of the upstairs administration office and the Education & Training Building bathrooms and meeting room

· Manage Inventory: It is important for spas to have a well-managed inventory, with a steady supply of blankets, massage oils, and other materials used by clients. Spa attendants monitor the inventory carefully, assisting with supply procurement as well as checking for equipment that requires repair.

· Spa Attendant Skills and Qualifications: Spa attendants are efficient and reliable, possessing high attention to detail along with excellent interpersonal skills for

communicating with customers.

Weekend/Patrol Responsibilities:

· Deliver food and drink orders from bistro customers accurately and with a positive attitude.

· Write patrons' food orders on order slips, memorize orders, or enter orders into computers for transmittal to kitchen staff.

· Knowledge of the menu, with the ability to make suggestions.

· Ensure tables are enjoying their meals and take action to correct any problems.

· Collect payments from tables.

· Prepare checks that itemize and total meal costs and sales taxes.

· Help food preparation staff when necessary.

Other Qualities and Skills Include:

· Cleaning Skills: cleanliness is essential to spas, where people go to enjoy quiet time and relax. Spa attendants must be familiar with several cleaning techniques if they are to sanitize rooms, replace used linens, and remove clutter efficiently

· Multitasking: spa attendants handle a diverse range of duties in their everyday work. Because much of these tasks depend on customers and treatment schedules for timing, spa attendants must fluidly switch between tasks and adapt to changing situations

· Physical Fitness: this is a physically active job that involves walking around the facility, picking up and transporting items, and sweeping or scrubbing, so spa attendants must be comfortable working on their feet

Job Education and Training

· Have at least a high school diploma or a GED.

· At least one year of experience in customer service, cleaning and/or custodial.

Other Miscellaneous Systems

1. Be familiar with and conversant about treatments/products offered

2. Be familiar with all safety/security measures as found on the Center for Ageless Living, pertaining to all aspects.

3. Be able to articulate The Director’s vision for the Center

4. Assist wherever one is asked

5. Be available for any and all trainings, staff meetings or seminars

6. Notify management of any sicknesses, appointments or other reasons for employment absences

7. Keep current all pertinent employee information

Job Requirements

• General office and customer relations experience
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• A high level of attention to detail
• Ability to work effectively within a team and independently
• Experience using computers for a variety of tasks
• Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Good organization skills

8. Must be able to obtain a ServeSafe Food Handlers and Alcohol Servers certificates within 3 months of hire.
