What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cybersecurity Manager position at Garden City?
The Cybersecurity Manager is responsible for establishing and leading a district-wide cybersecurity program to protect the digital assests, systems, and data of a diverse educational environment. This role is critical in securing a mixed technology ecosystem of Apple and Windows devices and cloud-based services. The cybersecurity manager will design and enforce cybersecurity policies, respond to threats, and promote a culture of security awareness, ensuring the safety, privacy, and compliance of all users and systems across the district.
Responsibilities include working under the limited supervision while applying established cybersecurity practices, policies, and methodologies tailored to a K-12 educational environment. The cybersecurity manager will lead and coordinate efforts within a small team and collabrate with other departments such as Business, HR, Instruction as well as district and building leadership.
This position reports to the Director of Technology.
