Year-end or other annual bonus options are available based on performance.
Responsibilities
- Help lead and supervise the retail sales team, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Manage inventory control, stock replenishment, and merchandising to maximize sales opportunities.
- Help oversee daily store operations including opening, closing, cash handling, and POS (Point of Sale) system management.
- Help implement effective pricing strategies and promotional activities to boost revenue.
- Assist hiring, interviewing, onboarding, training, and ongoing development of staff members.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and operational procedures.
- Monitor sales performance metrics, prepare reports, and develop action plans to meet or exceed targets.
- Offer key leadership in sourcing & launching the store in the weeks to come!
Requirements
- Proven experience in retail management or supervisory roles within the retail industry.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
- Excellent communication skills in both managerial communication and customer service contexts.
- Proficiency with POS systems, inventory management software, and basic bookkeeping principles.
- Demonstrated ability in negotiation, purchasing, budgeting, and operational management.
- Experience with cashiering, cash handling, payroll processing, and employee orientation.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time effectively across multiple responsibilities.
- Knowledge of retail math including pricing strategies and sales calculations.
- Previous Leadership experience in grocery or similar retail environments is required.
- Having taken part in a Grocery or similar Retail Launch is required.
