Frontline Futures Grant - Outreach Liaison

Role:
To lead programming and build relationships that increase awareness of healthcare education and career opportunities among regional stakeholders connected to the Frontline Futures Grant Program. The Outreach Liaison will serve as a regional expert on healthcare education programs within the grant, using this knowledge to cultivate partnerships and expand outreach efforts across western Kansas. This position is grant funded, and continued employment is contingent upon ongoing funding.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

• Manage outreach, build partnerships, and support recruitment efforts and student enrollment across all participating institutions.
• Collaborate with other grant, college, university, marketing, and healthcare personnel to develop knowledge, marketing materials, and programming to inform western Kansas healthcare stakeholders about educational opportunities.
• Collaborate with Grant Manager and Clinical Site Coordinator to strengthen current relationships and develop new relationships with regional stakeholders, forming mutually beneficial partnerships between healthcare providers, educational institutions, and current and prospective students.
• Travel frequently within western Kansas, typically with same-day return.
• Provide informative sessions for healthcare institutions, prospective students, and other stakeholders regarding the variety of healthcare educational opportunities and student services, including admissions requirements, financial aid, and scholarship options.
• Support the development of a sustainable student pipeline into healthcare education programs that align with regional workforce needs.

Performance Measurements:

1. To collaborate and coordinate with Frontline Futures project staff to meet established goals and objectives of the grant project
2. To ensure that all activities and objectives are addressed in a timely fashion.
3. To keep all assigned files and records current and well organized.
4. To maintain a friendly, professional, and collaborative work environment and attitude when working with others.
5. To function as an integral member of grant project team

Knowledge and Skills:
Experience: Strong background in one of the following fields is required:

• education (preferably postsecondary)
• healthcare
• Strong interpersonal skills and organizational skills.
• Ability to work as part of a team.

Education: Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in healthcare field, education, community relations, or related field; Experience in previous roles that translates well to these job expectations will also be considered.

Interpersonal Skills: Work regularly involves contact with persons beyond immediate associates generally regarding routine matters for the purposes of giving or obtaining information regarding the grant project which may require some discussion. A significant portion of work will involve outside contacts within the healthcare industry and potential students requiring ordinary courtesy in providing information and discussion.

Other Skills: Self-motivated with excellent organizational, project and time management skills. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.

Physical Requirements: Ability to stand or sit for extended periods; speak and hear clearly in group settings and at distances of 30 feet; maintain physical mobility, alertness, and composure; utilize appropriate presentation materials and equipment; and transport self and equipment to various campus/ community/area sites as needed.

Work Environment: Regular exposure found in an office setting.
