POSITION SUMMARY INFORMATION: DUTIES AND REQUIREMENTS
Position Overview: In this role, you will support warehouse and inventory operations within the detention facility by maintaining accountability, organization, storage, and distribution of operational supplies, equipment, uniforms, sanitation materials, and facility resources. You will ensure inventory records are accurate, materials are properly tracked, and warehouse operations are conducted efficiently and securely in accordance with facility procedures and operational requirements. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, inventory management abilities, and the ability to work within a secure detention environment while supporting daily operational readiness.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, inspect, organize, store, and distribute inventory items including uniforms, maintenance supplies, sanitation products, medical materials, office supplies, and operational equipment throughout the detention facility.
- Maintain accurate inventory records, warehouse logs, supply tracking systems, and accountability documentation for all incoming and outgoing materials.
- Conduct routine inventory counts, reconciliation activities, stock audits, and operational inspections to ensure inventory accuracy and identify discrepancies or shortages.
- Operate warehouse equipment including pallet jacks, carts, shelving systems, scanners, and material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Inspect deliveries and shipments for damage, missing items, expiration concerns, or inventory discrepancies and report issues to supervisory personnel.
- Coordinate supply requests, inventory replenishment activities, and operational distribution schedules with facility departments and supervisory staff.
- Maintain warehouse organization, cleanliness, storage compliance, and operational safety standards within inventory and supply areas.
- Monitor inventory levels of critical operational supplies and coordinate procurement or replacement requests as necessary to maintain uninterrupted facility operations.
- Ensure proper storage and handling of supplies, sanitation materials, equipment, and operational resources in accordance with safety procedures and facility policies.
- Prepare inventory reports, supply usage summaries, shipment documentation, and operational records accurately and within required timelines.
- Support audits, inspections, compliance reviews, and operational assessments related to inventory accountability and warehouse operations.
- Maintain professionalism, strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and effective communication while supporting safe and efficient detention facility warehouse operations.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience in warehouse property management or inventory control within a law enforcement or correctional/detention facility.
- Must possess strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to accurately document and track inventory using logs or electronic systems.
- Ability to navigate Microsoft Office products, specifically Outlook email, Word, and Excel.
- Must possess sound judgment and perform job duties with minimal supervision.
- Must be able to provide proof of citizenship or legal US work authorization.
- If prior active-duty military, must provide copies of DD214(s) showing discharge condition.
- Must consent to fingerprinting.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.

- Clean criminal record and ability to pass a comprehensive background check and security screening.

Work Environment:

Physical Requirements:
Employees may be required to remain in a stationary position, stand, push, pull, climb, kneel, crawl, balance, squat, bend, and reach. Employees may be also required to use gear to move items around, including, but not limited to, carts and dollies. Employees may also be occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 49 pounds.
