Position Summary:
Food Services Supervisor coordinates all kitchen activities to ensure the highest quality and smooth operation of the nutrition services department.
Position Responsibilities Nutrition Supervisor:
* Orders all food to ensure proper menu.
* Ensures proper preparation, portioning and serving of meals
* Counsels residents and families in the area of food preferences
* Evaluates and disciplines nutrition services personnel according to HCF policy
* Prepares food according to recipe and ensures palatability
* Maintains standards of sanitation and safety according to local, state and federal regulations
* Operates all food service equipment safely
* Attend required in-service education
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Prior cooking experience for large populations beneficial. Must be able to read, write, make simple calculations, and follow oral and written instructions. Some on-the-job training in food preparation, in cookery and general kitchen management. ServSafe beneficial.
