The Opportunity
We’re seeking an experienced Field Calibration Technician with strong mechanical and physical metrology skills to join our expanding team.
This home-based role includes daily travel to customer sites across the region, using a company-supplied vehicle. Most travel is local with less than 25% overnight stays (per diem provided).
You’ll represent Garber Metrology in the field — working independently while backed by a supportive, highly skilled team.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform calibration and testing of mechanical, dimensional, and thermodynamic equipment and instruments
- Document all results accurately using specialized calibration management software
- Identify and troubleshoot calibration issues
- Deliver outstanding customer service and uphold Garber’s standards of excellence
- Maintain compliance with ISO/IEC 17025 quality systems
- Participate in company training, meetings, and ongoing technical development
What You’ll Bring
- 2 years of calibration experience in mechanical, dimensional, or physical metrology
- PMEL background or Technical School Equivalent preferred
- Strong understanding of measurement uncertainty, calibration techniques, and traceability
- Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and comfort using specialized calibration software
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record

Schedule
- Monday–Friday (8–10 hour shifts)
- Overtime or weekends only when needed
