Responsibilities
- Greet guests with a friendly, positive attitude and provide excellent customer service from arrival to departure
- Manage restaurant reservations efficiently using restaurant table management systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
- Coordinate seating arrangements to optimize table utilization and minimize wait times
- Answer incoming phone calls with professionalism, providing information about wait times, reservations, and restaurant policies
- Maintain organized waiting lists and communicate effectively with guests regarding their seating status
- Assist with guest relations by addressing inquiries, special requests, or concerns promptly and courteously
- Support food safety standards by ensuring cleanliness and adherence to hygiene protocols in the host/hostess area
Requirements
- Prior experience as a host/hostess or in food service is highly preferred
- Strong communication skills with excellent phone etiquette and customer interaction abilities
- Familiarity with restaurant reservation management systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
- Basic math skills for managing waitlists, reservations, and guest counts accurately
- Demonstrated organizational skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a busy environment
- Knowledge of food safety practices and hospitality standards to ensure guest satisfaction
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
