We are actively looking for a General Manager to join our growing team. This is a new position within the company, albeit a very important one for our growth. This manager would ideally be a strong leader with a background as a General Manager, Branch Manager, or Operations Manager, to actively manage our local overhead door service, installation and sales business.
POSITION OVERVIEW:
- Lead and oversee operations and management personnel associated with efficiently, effectively and profitably handling all Service and Installation jobs
- Manage and improve operational processes and procedures with the objective of providing maximum profit and return while maintaining maximum emphasis on customer satisfaction and return business.
- Work with the Leadership Team to establish sales and operating budgets and work with Service/Sales Group to continue to focus their efforts on achieving budgeted sales and gross profit objectives, while still maintaining their key customer bases
- Deliver profitable return on sales that meets or exceeds the yearly financial budget/forecast
- Establish objectives and action plans and ensure all are consistent with company objectives
- Hire, train and develop new employees; improve individual performance through daily coaching, monthly P&L and Scorecard reviews and yearly performance reviews
- Effectively lead meetings, set performance expectations and hold employees accountable
- Communicate with customers to develop sales opportunities and/or solve problems
- Ensure all orders are processed timely and accurately.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Minimum of five (5) years’ experience managing personnel
- Knowledgeable of Building Service, Construction Operations, Retail Building Materials, and/or Logistics Industries
- Willing to travel to our other regional offices, as well as job sites
- Possess a strong knowledge for mechanical systems, problem solving, technical applications and software, and understanding blueprints
- Experience conducting meetings with field and office personnel coupled with hiring, training, developing and conducting annual performance reviews
- Ability to communicate effectively to all employees, customers, vendors, etc.
- Competent in managing time effectively, prioritizing tasks, meeting deadlines, and handling stressful situations
- Must enjoy a high level of activity in a hands-on environment where there is an emphasis on meeting deadlines and providing Best-In-Class customer service
- Successful completion of references, employment verifications, background check, and drug screen required in advance of hire; must possess a Valid Driver’s License and good driving record
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $75,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
