What You'll Do
As our Front of House General Manager, you will be responsible for the overall success of restaurant operations by providing exceptional leadership, maintaining high service standards, and achieving financial goals.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Lead and oversee all daily front-of-house operations.
- Deliver exceptional guest service while maintaining Garage Grill's hospitality standards.
- Recruit, interview, hire, train, coach, schedule, and develop team members.
- Build a positive, accountable, and high-performing team culture.
- Manage labor costs, staffing levels, scheduling, and payroll preparation.
- Review labor reports and tip reporting weekly to ensure payroll accuracy.
- Monitor sales performance and control operating expenses to maximize profitability.
- Ensure compliance with all company policies, Utah DABS regulations, food safety requirements, and health department standards.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment for guests and employees.
- Partner with kitchen leadership to ensure seamless daily operations.
- Manage inventory, ordering, and cost-control initiatives.
- Handle guest concerns professionally and resolve issues promptly.
- Develop and implement local marketing initiatives to increase guest traffic and build community relationships.
- Stay informed of hospitality trends and continuously identify opportunities to improve operations and the guest experience.
Qualifications
Required:
- Minimum two (2) years of recent management experience in a full-service restaurant with beer, wine, and spirits.
- Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop restaurant teams.
- Strong understanding of labor management, scheduling, and restaurant financial performance.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience using Aloha POS or similar restaurant management software.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining exceptional guest service.
- Flexible availability, including days, evenings, weekends, holidays, and occasional extended shifts as business needs require.
Licensing Requirements:
Must possess, or be able to obtain upon hire:
- Utah On-Premise Alcohol Server Certification (DABS)
- Utah Food Handler Permit
Compensation & Benefits
Salary: $65,000–$70,000 annually, depending on experience.
