Build a Career, Not Just a Job

Overhead Door Company of Fort Smith™ is the authorized Overhead Door™ distributor for the River Valley and surrounding areas — and one of two divisions of Garage & Glass of Arkansas, LLC, alongside our Architectural Glass & Metals division. We're growing, and we're looking for people who want to grow with us. We install and service commercial and residential overhead doors, gates, and dock equipment across Western and Northwest Arkansas as well as Eastern Oklahoma. We believe in creating careers, not just jobs: we invest in training, certifications, and advancement for technicians who bring a strong work ethic and a problem-solver's mindset.

Already working in the trade and wondering if there's something better out there? There is. If you're mechanically inclined, take pride in quality work, and want to be part of a team that's building something — we want to talk to you.

Position Summary

The Overhead Door Technician installs, services, and repairs commercial and residential overhead door systems, gates, and dock equipment. This role is hands-on and field-based, working from a company vehicle on job sites across our territory. From time to time, you may also assist our Architectural Glass & Metals division with glazing work, though overhead doors will remain your primary focus.

Overhead door experience is preferred but not required — we will train the right candidate. What we can't train is attitude, reliability, and the drive to figure things out.

  • Install and service gates, gate operators, dock levelers, dock seals, and related dock equipment.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Overhead door, gate, dock equipment, or construction trade experience preferred — but not required. We train.
