Journeyman Cabinet Maker – High-End Residential Custom Work
We are seeking a skilled Journeyman Cabinet Maker to join our team focused on custom residential projects in the Napa / Sonoma area. This is precision, detail-driven work—no production line. Suitable for someone who takes pride in craftsmanship and can work independently.
Responsibilities:
- Build custom cabinetry, built-ins, vanities, wine storage, and architectural millwork from shop drawings.
- Read and interpret construction documents, cut lists, and material schedules.
- Operate cabinet shop machinery (table saws, planers, edge banders, routers, etc.) safely and accurately.
- Perform detailed fitting, joinery, door/drawer construction, and hardware installation.
- Collaborate with PM and install crew to ensure accurate fit and finish during final install.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area; uphold shop safety standards.
Qualifications:
- 5 years experience in cabinet making or fine woodworking.
- Strong understanding of joinery, layout, and material selection.
- Ability to work from drawings with minimal supervision.
- Experience with European and traditional face-frame construction.
- Reliable, professional, and takes pride in craftsmanship.
Nice to Have (Not Required):
- CNC experience
- On-site install experience
- Ability to field-measure and coordinate with GC/Design team
