Gapstow is a Shopify-focused eCommerce consultancy working with mid-market and enterprise brands that want to grow, optimize, and scale the right way. We partner closely with internal teams to provide strategic leadership, platform expertise, and long-term guidance—not one-off projects or transactional work.
We are intentionally building a partner-style firm, not a high-volume sales organization.
Gapstow is seeking an experienced Client Partner to help grow our client base through long-term, relationship-driven engagements. This role is designed for senior professionals who already have trusted relationships and want to participate meaningfully in the ongoing success of the clients they bring to the firm.
Client Partners originate new clients, own the client relationship, and share in recurring revenue for as long as those clients remain with Gapstow. Gapstow handles delivery, execution, staffing, and operations.
This is not a traditional sales role and not a project management role.
- Source and close new Gapstow clients that align with our ideal customer profile
- Leverage existing relationships, referrals, and professional network
- Lead discovery conversations and help frame solutions
- Ensure opportunities align with Gapstow’s services, positioning, and pricing floors
- Serve as the primary relationship owner for clients you originate
- Act as a strategic advisor to Directors, VPs, and C-level stakeholders
- Maintain long-term client satisfaction, trust, and retention
- Identify opportunities for account expansion and deeper partnership
- Provide high-level context and direction to Gapstow’s delivery team
- Participate in quarterly planning, roadmap discussions, and performance reviews
- Escalate risks early to protect the client relationship
- No day-to-day task or sprint management
- No hands-on development or design work required
- No responsibility for internal staffing, billing, or collections
This role is intentionally structured so meaningful earnings are tied directly to client origination and retention.
Base Salary
- $30,000–$40,000 annually, depending on experience and ramp expectations
- The base salary provides stability during ramp-up but is not intended to be the primary source of compensation
Ongoing Revenue Participation
- 20% revenue share on all collected revenue from clients you originate
- Revenue share is paid monthly and continues as long as:
- The client remains active and in good standing
- The Client Partner remains active and in good standing
- Agreement terms are met
Total Compensation
- Compensation is uncapped and performance-driven
- Client Partners who originate and retain 6–10 clients typically earn $100,000–$160,000 annually
- Long-term earning potential grows as accounts expand over time
Additional Notes
- Revenue share is calculated on collected revenue only
- Clients and contracts belong to Gapstow
- Revenue participation includes standard sunset provisions if the Client Partner departs
- 7 years in eCommerce, digital strategy, consulting, or agency leadership
- Strong existing network of mid-market or enterprise decision-makers
- Comfortable leading executive-level conversations
- Deep understanding of Shopify, DTC, and omnichannel commerce at a strategic level
- Values long-term client relationships over transactional selling
- Self-directed, accountable, and motivated by ownership-style incentives
