Duties
- Safely operate box trucks and other commercial vehicles to deliver packages along designated routes
- Load and unload shipments efficiently using equipment such as forklifts or pallet jacks when necessary
- Manage route driving with precision to meet delivery schedules while adhering to traffic laws and safety regulations
- Provide excellent customer service by engaging professionally with recipients during deliveries
- Conduct pre-trip inspections of vehicles, ensuring proper functioning of all systems and reporting any issues promptly
- Assist with heavy lifting and moving tasks as required, maintaining safety standards at all times
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, documentation, and communication records throughout your shift
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or courier, with familiarity in route driving and heavy lifting tasks
- Experience operating box trucks or similar heavy vehicles with manual transmission is highly desirable
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally
- Warehouse experience or familiarity with forklift operation, pallet jacks, or moving equipment is a plus
- Ability to lift heavy packages repeatedly and perform physical tasks safely and efficiently
- Knowledge of traffic laws, safety protocols, and vehicle maintenance procedures
