Title: Technical Coach
Location: Fort Worth, TX
Hybrid – 3 days onsite (Tuesday–Thursday)
We are seeking an experienced Technical Coach to help high-performing software teams adopt modern engineering, Agile, DevOps, and AI/ML practices. This role combines hands-on software development, technical coaching, architecture, and engineering enablement.
Must-Have Qualifications
- 8 years of professional software engineering experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
- Strong hands-on software development experience with Java and/or Python
- Proven technical coaching, mentoring, or team enablement experience
- Strong experience with AI/ML, including modern AI technologies such as LLMs, RAG, Agentic AI, or MLOps
- Hands-on expertise with TDD, automated testing, refactoring, and modern engineering practices
- Experience with Agile/DevOps, CI/CD, and cloud technologies
- Strong understanding of object-oriented design, architecture, distributed systems, and SQL
- Ability to coach engineers and architects through pairing/mobbing, technical workshops, and hands-on delivery
Key Responsibilities
- Coach software teams on modern engineering and Agile practices
- Assess architecture and identify opportunities to improve performance, resiliency, reliability, and cost
- Drive adoption of TDD, CI/CD, DevOps, cloud, automation, and AI/ML practices
- Facilitate technical coaching sessions, workshops, and value-stream assessments
- Mentor engineers and architects through hands-on technical collaboration
- Help teams improve delivery flow, engineering quality, and developer experience
- Influence engineer
