Non corporate restaurant seeking a skilled and passionate Line Cook to join our culinary team. All electric no grease kitchen, preparing food from scratch. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and cooking. As a Line Cook, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality meals while maintaining the highest standards of food safety and hygiene.
Duties
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient meal preparation and service.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper food handling practices.
- Assist in menu planning and development, contributing creative ideas for seasonal dishes.
- Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and assist with ordering as needed.
- Utilize knife skills effectively for food preparation tasks.
- Participate in catering events as required, ensuring timely delivery of meals.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a culinary role, preferably within the food industry or restaurant setting.
- Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations.
- Experience in dietary departments or as a dietary aide is a plus.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent cooking skills with attention to detail in meal preparation.
