A leading international law firm is seeking a Patent Prosecution Associate to join its team across multiple U.S. offices.
The role offers the opportunity to handle sophisticated life sciences-focused matters involving U.S. and foreign patent office practice, opinion work, due diligence, licensing, litigation support, and client counseling.
What You’ll Work On
- Drafting and prosecuting patent applications
- Handling U.S. and foreign patent office practice
- Supporting opinion and due diligence work
- Working on licensing matters
- Providing litigation support
- Counseling clients on a variety of life sciences-focused projects
What They’re Looking For
- At least 2-6 years working with life sciences clients
- Excellent academic credentials
- Experience drafting and prosecuting patent applications
- An advanced degree in biology, chemistry, or a biotechnical discipline
- Admission to the USPTO
Work Arrangement
The position Hybrid and is available in Silicon Valley, San Diego, Austin, and New York.
Compensation & Benefits
The position offers an annual compensation range of $235,000–$365,000 and is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. Additional benefits include a 401(k) plan, medical, dental and vision insurance, personal medical and parental leave, up to 10 paid holidays, and family care benefits.
