Portal Lounge, a next-generation airport lounge by Gameway, is hiring part-time and full-time skilled Cooks at its MSP location to help deliver a polished, elevated casual food experience.
This role focuses on preparation, plating, and cooking (no grill or fryer) and works closely with the Executive Chef and Kitchen Manager to support daily kitchen operations.

Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and execute menu items according to established recipes and standards
- Perform prep cook duties, plating, and cooking; cross-trained across all kitchen functions
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation at all times
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health regulations
- Communicate effectively with kitchen and front-of-house teams
- Support service during peak periods with accuracy and efficiency
- Assist with opening and closing kitchen procedures as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of professional kitchen experience. Experience in elevated casual dining environments preferred
- Demonstrates a solid working knowledge of soups, sauces, and pantry operations.
- Possesses strong knife-handling and cutting techniques, with a thorough understanding of both dry-heat and moist-heat cooking methods.
- Experienced in food preparation practices and well-versed in HACCP food safety standards.
- Valid Food Handler Card required
- Ability to follow standardized recipes and procedures
- Strong attention to detail, cleanliness, and teamwork
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
Compensation and Work Schedule:
- Pay: $20.00 per hour
- Schedule: Full-time opportunities available. Open availability required, including weekends and holidays, due to airport operations.
